Yesteday, I watched the Democratic National Convention on TV. I sat with my father, brother, sister and grandfater as we watched the brown-face man on the television. We wathced Barack Obama accept the nomination for president of the United Staes of America.
Barack Obama spoke about a mulitiude of issues he need to face. For example, he spoke about bringing change to a country torn apart by partisanship. He spoke eloquently about the war in Iraq and how it need to have a stop put to it. He also spoke on the economy and changing a nation fraught with defecit and debt.
Barack Obama was a great orator as he pronouced his abiding willingness to battle John McCain in any debate. He was a great ledaer as he told of uniting the country and saving the chersished memories of a "great America." He, in his speech, demonstrated a need to take care of the elderly and aging, provide for the Veterans, bring education to all no matter the cost,...

Yesterday I saw the opening cermonies of the olympics,
I watched the preciseness of the people,
dressed in skin- tight cloth,
contouring their bodies.
I saw the history,
The age old beliefs of the people...
Confucianism was the main teachings,
about what makes relationships and their order.
I learned about tai chi,
The relaxing yoga,
The ever-changing positions.
The mind is calm,
precise, and precious in the moment.
Precious...precise.

The child speaks,
She if from the hills of northern Uganda,
a tear splashes down her face.
She is hungry.
She looks at her brother.
His eyes yellow and fierce.
He speaks to the white man.
"We have no food,"
"We need to stay safe from the militia."
Why must they suffer?
The children must go to school.
They cannot sit and concentrate for they are hungry.
Why must they suffer?
The children sleep in the streeets.
They sleep on the bare ground.
The white man captures all this.
He tells them, "Things will change."
They are making bracletes.
Braceletes for change.
The children will eat now.

Life is a mystery,
It starst for the love of one.
It starts with love,
Love is the essence of the soul
Love intertwines its vines
vicariously through
the lines that is our mirth.
As though one may never tell,
what is the maker of our passions,
It starts with passion
The deep wanting of the soul
It stirs under the blazing sun,
and thus emerges from the soul.

I don't know that much about Darfur. I read, in the newspaper, that there is an isssue with the govenrments in Sudan and that the president Il Bashir is killing the blacks in Sudan over a past conflict. I just can't belives this is happening and it has been haunting me. I want to do something to save Sudan. It just doesnt seem right that in this day and age somethig like this can contiues to happen. There so much we can do, but it is importnat to remember that awarenss is the greatest key to success. This issue is a world issue and a human one. We cannot let our brother and sister continue to live and die in such horrid ways. I hope I can make an impact on others.

Never am I sad
When I am outside, and it is quiet.
I feel only pensive
whent the wind hits my cheek
I write down my thoughts,
big thougts, true thoughts,
As true as that tree with yellow leavaes
is to me.
Those thin branches that gently
glide with the wind.
That sky I get lost in,
For it is so wide and so blue.
The rustling of the leaves makes me happy,
I know not why,
But 'tis better than being sad.
I am contentwith the world when it is natural,
I love it.
