Stretching beyond limits – going the extra mile
Sometimes you are so hell bent upon making a difference and so sure of your motives that you are ready to bet your life on them. With a deep desire of helping my countrymen and women, by providing a dependable support system to the veterans I desire to give back something in lieu of so much that I got from my country and from the community. Just to keep things in perspective I would like to state at the outset that I am a disabled war veteran and the path I am embarking upon in order to help you may lead to loss of my 100% veteran disability benefits and pay, but still I have already started making long strides on that path. But this is not the right time to talk about personal hardships.
Dear friend, our country is in a deep crisis; we are fighting a war against terrorism and a war against an unprecedented economic meltdown. Families are being shattered, jobs are being lost, freedom is being restrained and businesses are being shut down. The horizon continuously seems to be bringing upon our skies the dark clouds of uncertainty and gloom. Fortunately we have the intellectual and physical ability to counter these adverse circumstances as we have been countering our enemies with unshakeable resolve. We just need some means, we just need some directions, and I have been spending considerable amount of time devising those means and figuring out the directions. With all this wealth of information and knowledge that I have gained I want to help you, even at the cost of losing my veteran disability benefits and pay.
The Internet has immense potential. Even when more than 90% of average American households are connected to the World Wide Web the online economy is still at a nascent stage. So much is being achieved and so much more can be achieved provided we can all come together and work jointly, made possible by this miraculous state of connectivity we have been blessed with. It is this connectivity that I want to use in order to reach out to you and extend a helping hand and join hands with those who want to come along and help the others.
I have great ideas that I am going to share with you on this blog. In fact the TV promos of those ideas have already been broadcast during the Larry King, Anderson Cooper 360, and on other networks with high views, which basically establishes the authenticity, verification and the power of the idea.
Dear Mr. President,
First of all I would like to congratulate you on your historic election as the 44th President of this great nation of ours. You not only created history but you also re-ignited the beacons of hope that had begun to grow dim due to the onslaught of hardship and hopelessness. No president has faced the sort of economical, social, international and ecological challenges you are about to face. We have great faith in your abilities and your intentions. I wish you all the best.
You said, "Everyone have to do a part in this time of Crisis", and as a fellow citizen I would like to let you know that I would like to join you in your journey towards nation-building and the resurrection of our economic might and I'm ready to walk the extra mile to achieve that objective.
I'm a disabled veteran and right now I depend upon disability benefits and veterans pension. By extending a helping hand to my fellow countrymen, women and veterans I might lose my livelihood and 100% veterans’ pension, but nonetheless, I have chosen a path of self-sacrifice and I'm not going to flinch.
I know you are a practical man who believes in action and not ambiguous assertions, so I'll come straight to the point...I'm starting out a business venture that is going to provide financial security to our people when they need it the most. With a firm belief in the philosophy that together we can overcome mountains, I'm getting together a highly driven and dedicated team of men and women from our country, and even US citizens stationed abroad, who will provide each other financial and intellectual assistance in the times of war and economic hardship. My unique system will minimize risk and maximize opportunities, because there will always be somebody ready to help somebody.
Being a commercial venture, it means once it is operational I may lose my disability benefits and veterans’ pension, and if the venture fails, my benefits and pension will not be restored. I will also lose the savings that I'm investing in this venture.
So you can easily understand how much is at stake. I want to minimize the risk of the others by risking my entire livelihood. I served the country when I was on active duty, and I intend to serve my country now, from my home, even if it leaves me penniless and devoid of companions.
For this gargantuan effort I'll of course need all the help I can get. Mr. President please send forth your helping hands in this function so it will continue to do well for all the needed areas. I've went the extra mile for the love of my Country, men and women when even when I didn't have any support. Now that I've gone beyond the call of duty others have joined me in doing what is needed in a time of hardship.
To this end, Mr. President, Please, Please, Please, send forth your helping hands and support for this stimulus package that would allow Citizen, Veterans, Disable, Businesses and Non Profits aboard to come together in what is needed to bring about the hope of change. I again send forth my thanks with the Highest of Gratitude and I also extend the very generous thanks to the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Veterans Medical centers as well as all the individuals that support me with this project. I'm truly so very grateful with everyone going the extra miles. Although I'm not able to work, I dug in doing everything I could to help when matters appeared impossible. Please forgive me if I'm wrong in doing so, nevertheless, the desire in seeing hope not only for myself but for my fellow Country men and women are the essence of life in which I was robbed from some time ago. Again Mr. President, Please send forth your helping hands, I as well as others will continue to show forth a desire in doing what you asked all Americana's to do "Do our part in helping" but we need support, and more to say we're not asking for money, for we feel strongly that there are other ways to bring about financial help. I will continue wising for the wellness and vibrant success of everyone that is doing what it takes for I surely have felt the pressure in what others done to hold me back from doing a good deed. That indeed is one reason I'm so grateful you stated; you would listen to US. Thank you Mr. President thank you so very much for I know your time is very important, Nevertheless, I will continue doing my best and giving my all for the love of my Country and Government.
Greatly Honored,
J. Powell
