From rappers to racists, from comedians to children and youth as well as their parents, UVCC believes that the casual acceptance of the usage of the N-word, particularly by African-American youth, must end. UVCC recognizes that negative lyrics, scripts, dialog and scenes can also have a negative effect on the mind of African-American children and youth.
To begin changing hearts and minds UVCC will create and provide cultural character building and self-esteem programs for children and youth, these programs are expected to be up and running in the coming months ahead.
