Saving Opus One has been made of aware of a horrible upcoming event where pigs will be killed and tortured. Please read the information below and help by calling or emailing the people listed and tell them that they should not be taking part in such abuse of pigs. This kind of research is cruel and unnecessary and needs to be stopped!

On August 7, Covidien Electrosurgery is hosting a lab in coordination with a conference held by the Society of Gynecologic Oncologists in which pigs will be killed and sacrificed in a "Hands-On Pig Lab" to demonstrate
electrosurgical tools.

Covidien Electrosurgery, who devised the "Pig Lab", is a company that performs laboratory tests on animals in order to market its surgical tools.

Formerly known as ValleyLab, Covidien has a history of controversy, including an incident that prompted the University of Colorado at Denver to ban all non-research vivisection in 2007.

It usually takes a human illness/death for a recall to be issued. Big thanks to The Humane Society of theUnited Statesfor blowing this investigation wide open!

If we can get more people to abide by this principle a lot of positive change will continue to happen in the world where animals are concerned. Unfortunately, there's many opportunities where we need to remind people of that. So never fail to share that belief with someone.

Next Up: Do you not just loooooooove the animal organizations who work tirelessly to help farm animals? They simply rock. Here's another accomplishment announced last week in the way of farm animals as we just learned from The Humane Society of United States...

It's hard to believe that we live in a world where something as inherently cruel as Factory Farming is actually legal. It just astonishes me. Factory Farming is intensive confinement systems where animals live with restricted mobility and severe crowding in barren and unnatural conditions whic...
