Background
I am a first generation Mexicano born in the US. My mother is from Sonora, MX. She was brought to this country by my grandfather along with her 3 sisters in search of a better life at the age of 14. She was put to work in the fields picking grapes in the Coachella Valley where for 26 years she sacrificed and labored so that my siblings and I could attain that better life. We did!! The plight of my people is one that I witnessed first hand. I'm here to be a voice for that plight.
