I joined Think to get youth involved in the political process and to spread awareness of our nation's failing drug policies by promoting the student run organization Students for Sensible Drug Policy.
I feel our drug laws have done more harm than good. They are discriminatory and counterproductive and fail to achieve the goals they set. Furthermore they are perpetuated in the name of young people who have no say in these policies.
I want to see more youth standing up for what they think is right and having their voices heard not ignored. Students in high schools and on college campuses across the country are doing this by starting chapters of SSDP -- Think members concerned with discrimination, substance abuse, politics, environment, human rights, education, crime, poverty, health should join SSDP.
