Using My Musical Talents For The Great Good |

As a songwriter, I never make appointments with myself to write. When the inspiration hits, out comes an immediate stream of thoughts and ideas that are eventually edited to become poetry and later a song. Ealier this year, I was watching CNN and the Democratic Primary coverage of New Hamsphie. The news commentator mentioned that the night before the New Hampshre primary, Senator Hillary Clinton had been emotional and talked about how personal her campaign was to her. I watched the clip and was immeditely moved. In that instant I felt a wave of emphathy come over me and I started to get emotional. I could empathise with her long term efforts for higher public office as I had my very own long term efforts for my music. And, as a woman, in a man's world, I could doubly understand her perspective.
