My life has truly been blessed over this past year as I continue to strive and work hard both as a student and in my communty. In September, THINK rewarded me for my commitment to working hard by sending me on a trip of a life time to the 2008 VMA"s. It was truly amazing and beyond anything that I could imagine. SInce I was a young child I have always participated in many different organizations and community based events to put forth an effort to make change. In elementary school I helped to raise money for St. Jude's Children's Hospital, money to build a local playground so kids in our community would have a safe place to play, as well as many other things. In high school my involvment in the communtiy became even more great. I was able to become an active blood donor for the American Red Cross. I also helped to raise money for one of my fellow classmate's who was battling cancer...
Hey everyone! I’m Jared, winner of Think‘s “Do Good. Go to the VMA’s” contest. I’m from a really small town in Pennsylvania called Nanty Glo. I’m currently a sophomore at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown where I study hard so that I can obtain a major in Pediatric Nursing. While I was busy taking college courses over the summer, I made sure I utilized my free time to do volunteer work. I regularly donated blood to the American Red Cross, cleane up trash at my local playground, and raised money for the “Light the Night Walk” for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society which I will participate in this October.
