Isaac, Taylor, and Zac are the three brother music phenomenon known as Hanson. Aside from making chart topping hits, Hanson has embarked on the "Walk Around the World Tour" to raise awareness to the state of poverty in Africa.

The tour is an extension of Hanson’s involvement with TOMS Shoes, which donates a pair of shoes to needy children in Africa for every pair purchased by customers. Hanson asks fans before each show to join them in a 1-mile barefoot walk to represent what a typical African child goes through on a daily basis. By bringing the topic of African poverty to the forefront of discussion, the walk also raises awareness to the HIV/AIDS epidemic faced by countless children.

“HIV is incredibly preventable if people understand what it is, but that’s a big part of the issue in Africa: an incredible lack of understanding of the virus itself,” says Zac Hanson.

In addition to their “Walk Around the World Tour” their accompanying book, Take the Walk, also raises awareness about the state of children in Africa.
