"Peace, in the sense of the absence of war, is of little value to someone who is dying of hunger or cold. It will not remove the pain of torture inflicted on a prisoner of conscience. It does not comfort those who have lost their loved ones in floods caused by senseless deforestation in a neighboring country. Peace can only last where human rights are respected, where the people are fed, and where individuals and nations are free." - HH The Dalai Lama
Why I’m Here

For me two things are important the human rights, and the po and poverty both are unted:
Human right refers
to the "basic rights and freedoms to which all humans are entitled." The rights and freedoms which are often thought of as human rights include civil and political rights, such as the right to life and liberty, freedom of expression, and equality before the law; and social, cultural and economic rights, including the right to contribute in culture, the right to food, to work, and to education.

Blog post: Awesome Jokes

A minister told his congregation, "Next week I plan to preach about the sin of lying. To help you understand my sermon, I want you all to read Mark 17."

The following Sunday, as he prepared to deliver his sermon, the minister asked for a show of hands. He wanted to know how many had read Mark 17.

Blog post: I Love This!

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.

Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.

We ask ourselves,

Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be?

Try to look closely at the photo. Notice that these children are working hard under the extreme heat of the sun, unprotected in a garbage dump infested with flies...

Blog post: Are we really blind to people'...

''The third world'''- what an expression...like we're talking about some other planet. How can we do this??how can we close our eyes, turn our backs and keep quiet??is it because we don't care or because we're afraid??I don't know which would be worse...or maybe it's both...My mind cannot understand how we can do this, or better yet...

Blog post: Anarchy on Two Wheels

Ever try to rent a bike from an anarchist group?

I did yesterday here in Minneapolis, MN, despite the fact that bikes are available for free to media, delegates, and whoever else wants one at Humana’s Freewheel!n site near the Xcel Center in Saint Paul.
