I joined because of a story about a girl that lost her dad due to cancer. She got to meet Simple Plan because of it. She said she turned to Simple Plan's music when her Dad was sick. Well, my 12 year-old brother Sean Libby Van Ness died on April 16, 2008 due to complications with an immune deficiency that he was born with along with many other problems. He will forever be my hero and not a day goes by that I don't think of him. He has touched so many people in my community and I have met so many new people. He has changed my life forever. Without music though, I do not know where I would be. I didn't think I was going to be able to live without him. He was the comedian of the family, the athlete of the family, and my only brother. So, music is what got me through and still gets me through those rough days. Simple Plan is one of those bands. i have liked them since their first CD. I have wanted to see them in concert but haven't gotten the chance. But, I did get to meet one of my favorite bands, The Maine. I have only met Kennedy Brock but there are still more shows to come! For those who are going through a rough time. Stay strong and don't let anyone bring you down.
