"Don’t wait for an invitation to help your nation." - Fab 5 Freddy
Background
They call me a pioneer in the hip hop and graffiti art game—but this means nothing if I’m not using it to bridge gaps and contribute to the greater good. As I say on my website “don’t wait for an invitation to help your nation.” I have aspired to create links between hip hop and art media that inspires the same types of links we can make as a people. When you can get all types of people, nto just black people or white people to enjoy the music or art then you are bridging gaps and uniting communities and that’s a powerful effect that we can all take part of in our own way. I feel like by hosting YO! MTV Raps I was putting this idea into full effect.
