Public service has been practice for Edward Norton since high school. That’s when the talented actor began working for his grandfather’s Enterprise Foundation, which seeks to help disadvantaged families obtain affordable living. Today Norton is an active member of the EF board. When Norton is not working with the Enterprose Foundation he is working as a conservationist. Partnering with BP, Norton initiated a Solar Neighbors Program which allows him to promote environmental awareness as well as utilize eco-friendly (and less expensive) energy in the housing provided for EF families. Norton joined other celebrities back in 2003 to transform a land mark New York railway into a park with the group The Friends of High-Line. The actor teamed up again with Cartier to create LOVECHARITY bracelets, of which the proceeds went to support Preserving the Maasai, a conservation group. Afghanistan Relief Organization, Focus the Nation, Global Green, and Living Classrooms Foundation are some of the other organizations Norton works with in his crusade to better the world and its people.
