I’ve believed in the social powers of hip hop since my days as a member of Public Enemy. From “Fight the Power” to “MKLVFKWR” (make love f*** war) I use the music to make social commentary.
I am honored and proud to have been the key note speaker at the first ever National Hip Hop Political Convention as the link between politics and hip hop is a phenomenon that everyone should recognize and pay attention to.
I’m also involved with Rock the Vote, Rap the Vote, National Urban League, and the National Alliance for African American Athletes. Hip hop has given me the opportunity to speak up and out to make a difference in the world.
