Even though she is an astounding actress, she would rather be known for her philanthropist contributions.  Ashley Judd has the honorable title of Global Ambassador for Youth Aids, an educational program promoting treatment and prevention of AIDS.  Judd is also a human rights advocate who frequently speaks at pro-choice events; a main one was the “Women for Ford” event for the Democratic Tennessee Senate candidate Harold Ford Jr.  In March 2007 Judd traveled to Delhi after being invited by the Listen Campaign to hear third world stories by children living the experience of drifting away from home, hard labor, and poverty.  It’s obvious that although she splits her time from home in Scotland and Tennessee, Judd makes every moment count.
