AWF Participating in Be the Cause Event in Southern California Saturday

The African Well Fund will be taking part in Education: A Path to Empowerment, a free event hosted by Be the Cause at the Sikh Center of Orange County on Saturday evening.

The aim of the event, according to Be the Cause, is to show how education is the path to empowerment locally and globally. The event will provide the opportunity for participants to meet people from various non-profits working both locally and globally to provide education opportunities for the under-privileged, engage in dialogue with a panel discussion of dedicated activists, and learn more about the interconnectedness of social issues through an interactive Web activity.

The evening will also feature music, poetry dance and live art from local artists, as well as a set from DJ nPrevail. Food will be provided and a raffle held.

AWF volunteers will be at the event to answer questions about our mission.
