Mission Statement

At VoteGopher, we hope to get more Americans engaged in the 2008 presidential election by providing easy access to non-partisan information on the candidates' positions on 16 different issues.  We hope that our efforts stimulate not only an interest in the political process but also a desire to vote on Election Day.  While our site is meant to help all Americans, we especially want to encourage young voters to participate in the primaries and general election.

VoteGopher is your one-stop Election 2008 hub - a non-partisan source for comparing the candidates' positions on the issues.  We have real information for real people, compiled for busy Americans and political pundits alike.  Our simple yet detailed position summaries provide easy access to the information necessary to make an informed choice.  Our interactive multimedia gives instant access to the most relevant news, videos, articles, quotes, and blog postings.  We want our users to become involved - both in shaping our website and our country.

VoteGopher was founded by Harvard students committed to focusing on what matters most in a presidential election: the issues.  We are passionate about politics and want all voters to have easy access to the information necessary to make an informed choice. Our writers - primarily Harvard undergraduates - have all taken a non-partisan oath.  We have worked hard over the past few months to compile unbiased and accessible information about all of the campaigns and candidates.

We hope you enjoy VoteGopher.com - and use it to make a more informed choice.
