Mission Statement
Of the close to 10 million children under 5 who die each year, the vast majority die needlessly from easily treatable or preventable diseases and conditions.  Many die because they lack something as simple and essential as clean water, or a bed net for protection against mosquito bites. For more than 60 years, UNICEF has been the leading children's organization, saving more young lives than any other humanitarian organization in the world. Today UNICEF is focused on saving the millions of kids who are dying of preventable causes, including dehydration, malaria, upper respiratory infections, and malnutrition. Simple and affordable interventions can save millions of lives and UNICEF knows how to make it happen.  Join us in doing whatever it takes to save a child.
