Mission Statement
Games for Change (G4C) provides support, visibility and shared resources to organizations and individuals using digital games for social change, with special assistance to foundations and non-profits entering the field. This is the primary community of practice for those interested in making digital games about the most pressing issues of our day, from poverty to race and the environment. We are the social change/social issues branch of the Serious Games Initiative.

What's New

Games for Change is happy to be the primary games partner for this fantastic launch. We will be showcasing social-issue games in a few months. Our annual festival in its fourth year was held in June 2007, and we announced 3 major Games for Change "GaCha" Awards: Best Transformation Game to Peacemaker, about the Middle East; Best Awareness-Raising Game to Ayiti: the Cost of Life about poverty in Haiti; and Best Social Commentary/ Art Game to Airport Security about civil rights. Darfur Is Dying, about the conflict in Sudan, from mtvU was the audience-award winner.
