On January 19 and January 20, our nation will celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and Inauguration Day back-to-back, both of which promote unity, service and American pride.  With that spirit in mind, the St. Bernard Project (SBP), a non-profit disaster response organization in St. Bernard Parish, LA, will hold an event called Rebuild the Dream” – a 24 hour build that will show the enduring need for help rebuilding homes devastated by Hurricane Katrina.  Over two days, we will work nonstop for 24 hours in order complete our 175th home rebuild.  As part of their coverage of the Presidential Inauguration, MTV will be featuring the final two hours of the 24-hour build live on air from 10-11:30 pm EST.  In addition, a number of local and national media outlets will be present to cover the event.

An unfortunate moral dilemma of being human is that it sometimes takes tragedy & devastation to correct conscience, as seen throughout history.
