Fellow Supporters,
Today could determine who controls the Ohio House, the size of the Democratic Majority in Congress and the 44th President of the United States.
Today, October 6th, is the last day to register to vote in Ohio. It's also the last day to participate in One-Stop Early Voting, where you can register and cast your ballot in one stop.
You may already be registered to vote, but you probably know several people who are not.
Please, right now, find your early vote location at VoteForChange.com and cast your early vote for change if you haven't already. And please take at least five Ohio supporters with you.
Go to OhioDems.org/Vote for your sample ballot and other voter information.
Victory in Ohio is going to hinge on unprecedented voter turnout.
At VoteForChange.com, you can also make sure you're registered. Then encourage your friends, family, and colleagues to do the same:

Dear Supporter, Here's the ad that wins the Election in Ohio.
And it's crucial that we get this ad on the air right now, because voters – particularly persuadable voters – just started voting yesterday in Ohio.
The ad is tough, aggressive, and hard-hitting against the GOP's failed economic policies. But we need your help to get it on the air by Friday.
Help us get this ad on the air right now by donating $250, $100, $75 or $50 today! Donate online at www.ohiodems.org/donate.
The ad's facts are simple: Under George Bush, 1,087 factories and companies in Ohio have shut down or had mass layoffs due to the failed Republican policies in Washington - an average of nearly three per week in Ohio each and every week for the past eight years.
These shutdowns or layoffs have put more than 180,000 Ohioans out of work, devastating their families and our communities.

1,087 Ohio Companies Shut Down or Had Mass Layoffs under George W. Bush, Costing More than 180,000 Ohio Jobs
83 of Ohio's 88 Counties Hit by At Least One Shutdown/Layoff(COLUMBUS)- Since 2001, 1,087 factories and companies in Ohio have shut down or had mass layoffs due to the failed Republican policies in Washington - an average of one shutdown or mass layoff in Ohio every 2.5 days, a new report revealed today.
These 1,087 shutdowns/layoffs cost 180,264 Ohioans their jobs - an average of 61 jobs lost each day for eight straight years. Many of these jobs were shipped from Ohio to China, Mexico, India, and other low-wage countries.
The new study, called "Ohio's Eight Years of Economic Pain, 2001-08," also found that 83 of Ohio's 88 counties-- a staggering 94 percent-- experienced at least one company shutdown or layoff since 2001.

Dear Supporter,
John McCain is out of touch with the economy and Ohio's working families.
On the same day Wall Street experienced the worst loss since September 11, McCain said the "fundamentals of our economy are strong."
Whether it's the economy, energy independence, affordable health care, or the war in Iraq - John McCain just doesn't get it.
Starting one week from today you will have the chance to change the direction of our country. Barack Obama will bring about the change we need and put Ohio's working families first.

New Parody Website Helps Voters Learn About the Record and Positions of Career Lobbyist Steve Stivers
COLUMBUS - The Ohio Democratic Party today officially launched LobbyistforCongress.com, a website devoted to the record and positions of career banking lobbyist Steve Stivers. The site features a special interest issues section, introductory video, and useful biographical information about everyone's favorite lobbyist candidate. Visitors are also invited to sign up with unique social networking portals like "MyLobbyist," "FaceBank," and "TaxIn."
"Steve is far too modest to mention his big-money lobbying career, his support for big oil companies and predatory lenders, and his vote for the single largest tax increase in Ohio history on his own campaign website, so we decided to do it for him," said Ohio Democratic Party Communications Director Alex Goepfert.
Visit the new website at LobbyistforCongress.com.

The GOP loves to use the rhetoric that they support the troops. But when it comes down to a vote on historic legistlation to support our veterans – the new GI Bill – Ohio Republicans showed their true colors and voted AGAINST supporting our troops. "Veterans and military families will be a crucial swing vote in this election because the Republican rhetoric about 'supporting the troops' has not been supported by the actions of this president or his political party," said Redfern. "The historic, bipartisan GI Bill that recently passed both houses of Congress had the support of every single Ohio Democrat, but only one Ohio Republican. That is truly shameful." Here is some background on the new GI Bill: U.S. House Passed GI Provision To Cover Higher Education Costs....
