Giana is committed to raising awareness of Autism.  She has had a full page article on Autism published in The Circuit, and serves as the President of "Fostering Relations Between Autism and Teens", a club founded at Cypress Bay High. She organized and led a group from Cypress Bay High School in the Broward Country Autism Speaks walk in 2007.

Giana is a first time voter this year in the 2008 presidential election, and participates in class debates.
