Designers Against Aids has teamed up with Mistral Home Textiles, creating a unique bed
linen collection with designs coming from the creative minds of Belgian singer Kate
Ryan, Belgian band Vive la Fête and Dutch graphic designers Shape Squad.These duvet covers with matching pillowcases are made out of biological cotton and will not only ensure a good nights' sleep, they also carry an essential safe sex message. The single
bed covers (140 x 200 cm) will be available in all Makro stores in Belgium from September 9th 2009, where they will be sold for the price of 24,95€. Both manufacturer Mistral and distributor Makro will each donate 2€ of the sales price to Designers Against Aids, which means that 4€ per sold item will directly go to the DAA organization.

We have the pleasure to invite you to our fundraising party in Tenerife (Canary Islands,
Spain) this Thursday August 20th from 10 PM.
The event will take place at Liquid Club (Arona Beach) and will include a fashion show,
featuring, for the first time in the Canary Islands, DAA's celebrity-driven collection at
H&M 'Fashion Against AIDS', followed by live shows, a photo call on the red carpet and
special projections of DAA's latest videos in a night full of surprises.

Models against AIDS
They're more than pretty faces. They're Models against Aids!
Models Against Aids is part of Designers Against Aids, the organization that strives to
raise HIV/AIDS awareness amongst youngsters, particularly in Western countries.
You might think that AIDS has nothing to do with these youngsters since it only seems
to appear in distant and third world countries or among people with more dangerous
lifestyles than theirs, but you might be wrong- and this misconception could be
extremely tricky and misleading. Did you know that:
* In The United States, more than 1.2 million people are living with the HIV virus and 8
in 10 new infections in women are related to unsafe sexual practices.
* Heterosexually acquired HIV infections form the largest proportion (5 out of 10 cases)
of new infections in Western Europe, with the United Kingdom showing the largest rate:
