The American Veterans Disabled for Life Memorial is moving closer to becoming a reality. Everyone involved with the project is excited and working tirelessly to ensure that construction on the Memorial begins on schedule. Federal guidelines require that the full amount for the cost of construction, plus ten percent for ongoing maintenance, be collected and/or pledged prior to beginning construction. With groundbreaking set for early 2009, now more than ever before, The Disabled Veterans’ LIFE Memorial Foundation needs your support.
We know that this generation is truly the most socially conscious, politically active generation in decades…perhaps even in the last century. It would be fantastic if you could lend a hand in honoring all the soldiers serving so bravely overseas, past and present, as well as to continue to use your VOICES to express your thoughts, opinions and support for those in the military who are willing to make the ultimate sacrifice. Help us build this Memorial...it’s achievable, but only with your involvement. We want to hear from you, soldier and non-soldier alike; about your personal experiences, obstacles and triumphs. Contribute your weblogs, videos, blog posts, comments.
