Hundreds of native teens from all over North America lined up in Vancouver, BC for a chance to audition for New Moon, the sequel to last year’s bloodsucking blockbuster Twilight. The crowd flooded to the open call as a result of an ad posted on Craigslist a few weeks ago for “first nations actors between the ages of 15 and 25”.
While officials neither established nor denied the title of the major motion picture being casted, fans of the book received confirmation when reading the audition’s script, a dialogue between characters Bella and Embry in the fourteenth chapter of New Moon.

Before saying goodbye to Street Team ’08 I wanted to put together a countdown recapping a few of my favorite moments from this project. Seeing that mobile media played such a large part of our election coverage, I thought it would be fitting to create a video playlist taking a look back at my top eight reports from the past year.

Throughout the month of October I visited different colleges in Washington State talking with student about issues that mattered to them. I called this project "Campus Crawl". Having spoken with several students at the University of Washington yesterday, I decided to put together one last piece to add to this series. Hear and see how the student body at the UW feel about being a part of Election Day '08.
Check me out last month as I visited schools in Seattle, Capital Hill and Bellevue.

There are close to 1,000 homeless youth in Seattle every night. They sleep in cars, abandoned buildings, under bridges and on friend’s couches. But without a place to live, where do these young people vote and how do they register? In all fifty states some sort of address is required to register to vote.
See how programs like YouthCare and The National Network for Youth are getting homeless youth involved in the political process and proving you don’t need a home to vote.

With nearly two weeks until Election Day, Sen. Joe Biden swung through Cheney Stadium in Tacoma for a rally on Sunday.
It was Biden’s first campaign stop in Washington, and with so many undecided states (purple if you will) some people were surprised the VP nominee came out at all. But the message wasn’t just in support of Sen. Barack Obama. He was also stumping for all democratic candidates in the Evergreen State.
