On May 27, 2009, Children’s Health Fund held its Annual Benefit at the Sheraton Hotel & Towers in New York City. CHF's Advisory Board Chair, Jane Pauley, served as the emcee for the 2009 Benefit, which was attended by over 800 guests. This year's event honored Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, Steve Hemsley, President & CEO, United Health Group, and Skip Keesal, Partner, Keesal, Young & Logan.

Guests were treated to a performance by the legendary Willie Nelson, who was later joined onstage by CHF’s co-founder Paul Simon, for a special performance. As a result of the kind generosity of supporters, the benefit raised over $1.5 million for America’s most vulnerable children.
