Alicia Keys Darfur PSA - Extended
The Crisis in Darfur is the first genocide of the 21st Century. Hundreds of thousands of people have been killed by violence and disease. Nearly 3 million people are now refugees. Women and girls have become targets of the militias roaming in Darfur. In order to provide for their families, they must leave their refugee camps risking sexual assault and rape. What is unthinkable to most is, their daily reality. If they speak up they face more violence but if we speak up we can provide support.
