Mission Statement

The mission of Caring Kids Television is to develop and produce ‘The Doo-its Show’, an educational and entertaining TV series for the Public Broadcasting System (PBS). This series introduces children to the heroic work of great humanitarians and charities, and helps young people better understand the world’s important causes like hunger, poverty housing and physical disabilities. In further support of its mission, all of its ‘enduring’ products such as DVDs, books, CDs, and Teacher’s Kits, reinforce the messages learned from the television series and teach children about kindness and compassion. These products will generate royalties that will be shared between Caring Kids Television to help finance future episodes and the profiled charities to help raise money for their important causes.

Caring Kids Television (CKTV) seeks funding for the U.S. television rights for The Doo-its Show, a new educational television series based on the award winning Dewey Doo-it books, to be aired on PBS. The Doo-its Show, produced and distributed by the television production company Blueprint Entertainment, uses puppetry, music, animation, celebrities, and storytelling to teach children about important social issues such as adoption, foster care, children’s camps, literacy, hunger, volunteerism, the environment, and disabilities. While regular network television is funded through paid advertisements, funding for The Doo-its Show, like all PBS programs, must come from foundations, corporations, and private citizens. This request of any increment of $10,000 is to help pay for the $1,027,000 cost ($79,000 per episode) for the U.S. television rights for the first 13 episodes of The Doo-its Show.

Each sponsor may choose to support any particular episode of The Doo-its Show based on the list of our shared charity partners or may suggest a new nonprofit organization as the featured subject. www.cktv.org for a list of nonprofit partners. We welcome your support and invite sponsors to participate in the 'halo effect' of this unique project.
