Illegal Discharge from Birmingham Hide and Tallow
An illegal discharge into Valley Creek from Birmingham Hide and Tallow. Black Warrior Riverkeeper was patrolling Valley Creek during this extremely toxic and odorous discharge. This plant makes dog food among many other things. My dog was in our the canoe and when this plant opened up its pipes, she wanted to drink the water and jump out of the canoe. It made for a very unstable ride on some toxic water!! We managed to stay safe but it could have been extremely hazardous to our health.
