all mymom's side of the family is riddled with various types of cancer (and she has 8 brothers and sister!) so, growing up, it was never shocking to me when i'd hear about the kids in my school whose parent or relative was diagnosed wtih cancer. to me it was normal! anyways, as i've grown up, i've come to see the devistation, pain, sadness, and utter helplessness that accompanies this sickness. in fact, i recently lost an angel about a year and a half ago to cancer, my sweet and perfect and loving AUNT KATHY. i offer my sympathy and complete prayers to anyone who is suffering through yet carrying on the good fight b/c you are truelly a hero in my heart and eyes... God Bless...

people must be aware of the big C, we should not take any signs and symptoms for granted. we should be educated so that we could detect it early.
heathercb - thanks for your support. We raise money through Relay For Life so that stories like yours will be a thing of the past. Together, we are making a difference in the fight against cancer. Early detection and prevention can increase survival levels drastically. Keep up the good fight! Thanks again.

I have personally been affected by cancer. My cousin died when I was younger, two days before her nineteenth birthday from cancer. I hope that one day a cure for cancer will be found, so that other people can live and survive.
