Above & Beyond Citizen Honors is a unique non-partisan, non-military initiative which will recognize and honor three civilian Americans every year who have made a difference in the lives of others through a singular act of extraordinary heroism, or through their continued commitment to putting others before themselves, without regard for personal gain.
This is a chance to nominate and celebrate deserving citizens – colleagues, co-workers, family, friends, teachers and neighbors – the hometown heroes all around who have gone “Above & Beyond” to make a difference in the lives of others by putting “Service before Self.”
The initiative is sponsored by the Congressional Medal of Honor Society, whose membership comprises recipients of our nation’s highest and most revered honor, the Medal of Honor.
