""Somwhere between dream & duty...:"" - Gord Downie
Why I’m Here

So our grandparents saved the world, twice. Their kids talked about revolution, while doing tons of acid and listening to some great music, but never got around to changing much of anything. Their efforts can still be seen in the form “Buy Local” stickers on the back of Volvos and VW’s.

I’m 22 years old and as I look around it’s hard to tell just where our generation will fall in line. This is a start. Awareness and involvement is the necessary first step towards our inevitable transition of power. This world, like it or not, will be ours sooner than we think.

Vermont is no different, facing many of the same problems that plague the rest of the country with a few of our own.  Education, cost of living, a dwindling next generation work force and a down right crappy job market rank among the most crucial. While we struggle with an identity crisis, as out of state interests threaten our way of life.

Can the slacker generation save the world? Or more importantly, do we have a choice?
