My name is Anthony "Starfish" Hill, i am literally the 1st corps member in history, i think, to name a program after themselves. I serve on the PS 111 Citi Foundation team out in LIC Queens and it is great. I love City YEar and serving in New York is a blast, i think anyone who serves in NY would agree. From BBL, to Starfish, to doing community service, to everything the organization has to offer, is great. I applied to come back another year and i really hope i get it. this means that i get the chance to build upon my relationships with people in my community. serving at city year is a blast, and i hope every1 is enjoying their time!!!

We in Pittsburgh are trying to do our part in this exciting year for CHANGE. "Re-Imagining Our City" is bringing young people of diverse backgrounds together to design and build public green spaces that will be stunning, inspiring and accessible to all. Our project is a Top 20 Finalist out of nearly 5000 projects submitted to the Case Foundation. We're hoping to make it to the Final 4! You can help us! Vote for "Re-Imagining Our City" at casefoundation.org/myvote or https://vote.election-america.com/make-it-your-own. It's easy and fast. Do it now! Just two clicks and you can help young people come together to create change that we can see and feel!

When is service complete? NEVER!!! I find myself serving even when I'm out of uniform. For most people, it is a new sense of behavior, or a learned trait. For me, most of my life, I have been serving the public and doing some of the stuff I'm doing now with City Year. Sometimes, its just as simple as saying "Thank You" or "Good Morning", you know... you'll never know how it will effect someone elses day.
