Mission Statement

The National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy seeks to improve the lives and future prospects of children and families and, in particular, to help ensure that children are born into stable, two-parent families who are committed to and ready for the demanding task of raising the next generation. Our specific strategy is to prevent teen pregnancy and unplanned pregnancy among single, young adults.

We support a combination of responsible values and behavior by both men and women and responsible policies in both the public and private sectors.  If we are successful, child and family well-being will improve. There will be less poverty, more opportunities for young men and women to complete their education or achieve other life goals, fewer abortions, and a stronger nation.

Among our targeted programs is the Latino Initiative. The Latino teen birth rate is now the highest among all racial and ethnic groups in the United States—53% of all Latinas get pregnant at least once before turning 20 years-old. The National Campaign is dedicated to working with the Latino community in its efforts to reduce continued high rates of adolescent pregnancy and childbearing.

Thought about sex? Of course you have... who hasn't? Know what you'll do when the moment arrives? How much do you really know about sex, relationships, and teen pregnancy? How will you avoid getting pregnant or getting someone else pregnant?

In honor of Teen Pregnancy Prevention Month, The National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy and StayTeen.org want to put you to the test. Take this quiz and choose the answers that are closest to what you would do in that situation, not the answers you think are 'right.' No one's watching, so be honest. That's the only way to find out how you really score. You might surprise yourself...

Visit  StayTeen.org to learn more and to take the full quiz.  You can also share the National Day Quiz with your friends by adding the "Would You?" Quiz widget to your website, Facebook, or MySpace page:

So what are you waiting for?  Take the quiz now and don't forget to ask your friends how they score!
