Mission Statement

Seventeen Magazine is the one-stop source for fashion, beauty, news, and advice for 13 million readers each month. Seventeen stands by its motto--”It’s fun to be Seventeen!”--in everything it does. And in 2008, it’s fun to be a part of one of the most important Presidential elections in history. Perhaps more than any other election, Seventeen’s readers (and its readers' friends!) have the power to decide who will win the election, and in what direction our country will head for the next four years...and beyond.

Check out Seventeen’s May 2008 issue (on stands now!) for its kickoff election coverage (starring Lauren Conrad, Audrina Patridge, and Whitney Port of MTV’s The Hills, featuring an exclusive American Eagle “VOTE” tee-shirt and details on an exciting video contest sponsored by Seventeen, Declare Yourself, and MTV. (And, psst: Go to seventeen.com/declareyourself to find out more about Seventeen’s voting mission!)

the seventeen website won't let my enter the sweepstake even though it says the contest ends tonight at 11:59 est. and it is only 11:30!! I tried twice and it wont let me enter. My video also keeps being deleted by the administrator of Think.MTV.com and it is really annoying. So I uploaded it to YouTube here is the URL: http://think.mtv.com/profile/shmee123

and little about my video is this:

This is meant to be a little funny, but also show that you shouldn't waste your time doing something stupid and pointless like fighting; instead you can do something productive with your time like registering to vote in the 2008 Presidential election.

The seventeen website should not stop accepting entries until tonight at 11:59 AUGUST 3rd like it says. I am finished under the time limit....

I just realized I didn't actually say anything about my video! Soooo, I had a lot of fun making my video!! I got to throw paint all over the place, it was awesome!! I created my own masterpiece, but a masterpiece we can all collaborate on is the 2008 Presidential Election. Get your paintbrushes...or keyboards... and stroke your way to registering to vote!!! Lol, that was kind of cheesy but seriously VOTE!!!!

Heyyy everyone! I added my video. The idea is that in the time it takes to do the simple things people do to get ready in the morning, for example brushing your teeth, you could register to vote. and don't forget to register to votee!
