World Malaria Day:
April 25th, 2008- SUCCESS!
Malaria No More is proud to have had so many participants on this years World Malaria Day. Numerous schools across the United States, Canada and Africa engaged in acitvities to raise awareness about malaria andshow the world they are empowered and ready to take action against this health crisis.
SPOTLIGHT:
MTVwas proud to host an event with Nothing But Nets honoring individuals (students!) who have made great strides in the efforts to end malaria related deaths. John Norris hosted the event along with special guest speaker Rick Riley. Retired NBA player Sam Perkins was also in attendance.

Stayin' Alive founder, Allyson Brown, was honored for her simple solution to the age old question, what can I do? "Have a dance, it's that easy."
HEROES OF THE WEEK!
Check out the students of The Resource Centre for Youth, of Saint John, New Brunswick! They had 4 days of events devoted to World Malaria Day and Global Youth Service-- and raised enough funds to buy over 130 bed nets!

These students collected canned goods, held BBQ's and concerts, provided malaria education sessions, held several Stayin' Alive dances and also held a Dance Dance Revolution-A-Thon to raise funds and awareness about malaria!
This isn't it for them- these students are ready and eager to keep engaging the issue to join in the effort to help make Malaria No More--we can't wait to see what they do next!
