According to the US Census, 42 million young voters aged 18 to 30 represent 25 percent of the voting population. But only half of those young people were registered to vote in 2000. These statistics represent the huge disconnect between young voters and the political process. And it is cause for alarm and time for change in 2008!Pink Positive NY's Pink, White & Blue Campaign's objective is to get 500 young citizens registered to vote! Pink Positive NY will implement the phrase: “Promote The Vote!” and will be working vigorously to spread the word about the importance of this year’s election to our 18-25 year-old audience. The campaign will consist of Pink Positive NY members, volunteers, and six celebrity faces. The celebrity faces are 18-25 year-old well known: artists, designers, actors, and models. The celebrity faces are young people that our audience know and can trust with their decision to vote. They will provide us with “Promote The Vote!” videos, pictures and statements that
