Hundreds of children in India are spending their childhood in trash and working for their next meal. They do so by picking out paper envelopes, discarded coffee cups, cans and glass bottles out of garbage dumps to sell to recyclers and use the money they receive to feed themselves. They are not only deprived of a great education (which is their only way out of poverty), but also exposes them to illness. Chintan Environmental Research and Action Group seeks to help these young children off the streets and into learning centers where they can prepare for admission to schools. They also give them money for food. Any monetary donation could vastly improve the lives of these children. For $10 a child can buy warm clothes for a year!
