In August and September of 2007, monks and people hit the streets of Burma over the increase in energy prices. Hundreds of thousands of people joined the peaceful protests led by the monks. The peaceful demonstrations were violently cracked down by the military dictators and the bloodshed begins. Automatic guns were fired to disperse the unarmed crowd killing several people. Demonstrators including monks were beaten to death. Monasteries were raided by security forces. Streets were stained with blood while the whole world was watching it but couldn't do anything. Those vicious generals did not care what the world would say because they have all the supports from countries like China to do the killings on their own people.
