It is very ironic that a free country would have secrecy for "National Security". The basis of our free country in the first place was that an abusive federal government is the most dangerous thing to that freedom. When you add the ability to take those free people into debt you don't even have to raise taxes to create new programs. This means the people will say nothing as they don't even realize its going on.

Secrecy didn't even start in this country until Hitler showed us how to do it. JFK's Speech to the newspapers should be all a free man would need to know as he tells all about the presidents bosses and what they are going to do with that secrecy. Oh, come on, folks. Quit drinking the proverbial kool-aid (allnaturalhealer is holding the pitcher). If "Martial law, fema (sic) camps, natural disasters, (and) 'Flesh eating...'" were classified, how come you know about it? By the way, since when did a natural disaster become classified information?

Certain information does need to be classified, secret, or top-secret. For example, if we know information about the location of Osama bin Laden, and a military operation was still in the planning stages, do you think that should be public information for everyone to hear (including bin Laden)? Plus, identities of operators involved shouldn't be made public. Maybe we should let the public (and therefore other countries) know where all of our nuclear ICBMs are at. Come on, folks, this seems like a no-brainer to me that we do need information classified, and above classified.

Its not classified and where does flesh eating come from? I remember seeing it somewhere but haven't worried about verifying it. Natural disasters were classified?

As JFK says in his Speech to the newspapers, under the narrowest limits of national security. You see, things like the video footage of all the tapes of the plane hitting the Pentagon on 9/11 except for the 5 frames the media played are all classified for national security purposes. If you are going to arrest someone you don't call ahead of time, everyone knows that, but you do at least charge them with a crime that you can arrest them for....we haven't even done that with Bin Laden.

There are many problems today, the more control we allow the government to have the more problems we will have. The most controlled people say the truest things at times...Government is not the solution, it is the problem. Ronald Regan.

It's too bad that situations have arisen to make individuals believe anything needs to be classified. Yet another symptom of why human government fails.

Its not human government thats the problem. Education is the problem. Is human religion the problem for Bishops touching little boys? What if one of those bishops became president? This is why the federal government is an agent of the states and the states are an agent of the people. Those who would use their position for evil are the ones that would begin to take us away from freedom. We are so far in and christians are so caught up on the end times that they are missing the true struggle for our god given rights. General Lee surrendered an army not the fact that the states created the Federal Government through a contract and can withdraw when the federal government breaches that contract. It is our created situation by elitists and powerful bankers that has us where we are. If we blame it on something like "human government" we will only go further toward ignorance. I am pleased to see the amount of churches going nondenominational and fighting for their rights and buying guns to protect themselves with. Freedom is spreading and as JFK says "I have the Utmost trust in the peoples decisions WHENEVER THEY ARE FULLY INFORMED!

Jason, you're operating from some Neverland utopia. You somehow believe that if humans just think happy thoughts, then eventually we can overcome our innate corruption. Problem is history has shown that we are incapable of doing so. Last I checked more non-theists committed kiddie diddling crimes than theists. Buddy, I agree with you all the way that corruption is all over the place. It's not just limited to human government. Rather, you'll find it anywhere humans are in charge. Why? Because we're not supposed to be in charge. Christians caught up in end times. Jason, I could say non-theists are so caught up in their utopia dreams that they miss what's really going on. As far as your JFK quote, this still illustrates the problem! You're saying that the answer to all the corruption lies in corrupt humans. Let me ask you, how can you clean dirty hands in a bucket full of filthy water?

You seem to be ignorantly labeling me as a nontheist. I do not pronounce my religion here because it does not belong in debates about governmental control. I only point out where religions are being misled by their centralized control structure. It is not a problem with human corruption. Evil only wins when good does nothing. Most the good in this country has their head stuck in the end times.

Don't know what Utopia you think I'm stuck in. I live in a monopoly game where select players get to print off the money in a secret room with noone watching. Not to mention these players give me money thats supposed to be mine and charge me interest. I have 4 kids I'm trying to support in a dying economy...does this sound like utopia to you? I live in America! I stand for its preservation, and you point out the fact that human corruption is soooo great. Yes it is! Local corruption is much easier to fix than corruption in a far away land called Washington D.C. If you think God is going to come down tomorrow and rule over our government then by all means, say I live in an imagined Utopia...we all know who is actually living in their imagination.

I live in a place that has been taken over and I work to fix that. You seem to just push people to keep their heads stuck in the end times. Just allow evil to take Gods Creation, we will all be saved in the end times anyway. Do you actually think that God will watch you sit on your hands here and give you a sword up there to fight for him with the angels? This is the mode of christianity.
