The guy mentions Parents, Teachers, and Government. He then talks about the responsibility of Parents and Teachers but he did not mention that he believes Government should take care of us from cradle to grave. Why wouldn't he broadcast his beliefs?

Most of it sounds pretty good until you get to the end and he starts talking about the individuals duty to his country. Country, Country, Country. He does a good job of grinding it in.

There is no better blindfold than a flag. That is why the Pledge of Allegiance was created by a socialist in the late 19th Century. It creates compulsory unification of thought, more like communism than freedom. This is why the Athenian lawmaker Solon decreed it a crime for any citizen to ever shrink from controversy.

Today with the liberal monopoly of ideas, political correctness produces the sheep keeping each other in line by criticizing and silencing dissent.

Resist Socialism! As Lennon said it was only created to lead a people to communism.

In Liberty,
Jason
I understand your point of view Jason. I am an Obama supporter in many ways, but like most of our leaders he is far from perfect. I was pleased with this speech because I am a single mother with a child who attends 4th grade. I have struggled since she first entered the public school system with institutions that are lazy and judgmental. Sadly this has greatly affected my child's education. I am a tattooed and pierced young mother who has had to watch my child suffer from teachers who don't approve of me. Obama's speech was an inspiration to my daughter, it gave her ambition and hope. She is far too young to understand any political motives that Obama may have had behind his speech. To her it was nothing more than a motivational speech and that's all that really mattered to me at the time. My daughter has only ever known George Bush as president, so this is quite a refreshing change for her. She sees a better man in Obama,so she listens. I guess that's all there is to it really. As long as she gets the good behind his message I'm pleased.
