I am a big believer in freedom of speech but some of the users on think.mtv.com are highly immature. I feel that everyone's opinion should be able to be heard, yet when is it right to down grade another's opinion. I love how this site gives us the ability as young Americans to get our thoughts and feelings out there about important issues, yet some users obviously need to become more informed or at least be respectful to other users. I have started talking to some amazing people on this site and I wish more people would use this as a great opportunity, rather than make a fool of themselves. Just felt that should be put out there.

I am in agreement with you, some people need to learn that there is no value in an opinion that has no supporting evidence as to why it exists nor does it hold value if it does not offer another option on how to change the existing problem or evidence as to why it should remain in tack. To just blurt out an opinion with lack of knowledge on a subject does make a fool of a person and open the doors of criticism and does not promote change or allow any type of discussion. Granted, every opinion matters, however it has to be an informed opinion, otherwise they should just remain silent, review the opposing opinions and make an educated and evaluated opinion of their own before posting a comment.
