Reality Check : Insufficient Funds
Posted June 30, 2009 at 9:49 AM

It is the end of the month, and for many people, that means rent/house payments are due.  This is true for me.  What is also true is I do not have the means to support myself any longer (short of some miracle).  Though it sounds like a plea for assistance, it is a reality check.  This is a check that can't be cashed.

Like many Americans who have tightened their belts and continue to do so, my income is now gone.  No person was aware of my monetary situation being as bleak as it is, because I didn't make it their issue.  For the most part, everyone I speak with is having concerns or problems that dwarf or parallel my current reality of no income and/or lack of ability to get it.  Because of this, I made a choice to not place that weight on others I know.  Did I shoot myself in the foot by not asking?  Maybe, I don't know.  Right now it seems to be that way.

I have made wonderful contacts along the way, some of them having money.  Not being a pride issue (obviously anyone right now can read this), I didn't make it their concern.  Everyone is trying to build right now, even people with money.  We are all in the same boat in that sense.  Some people will make it, and some won't due to giving up, or just things not going their way.  I still believe that I am going to make it, and I believe that is a good mindset to have, or else there is no way for any level of success to be seen.

Some people, even friends or family of mine will look at this and be disgusted with what they might view as last minute rhetoric.  The short answer is, they aren't wrong, and neither are any of you, if that is how you see things.

For anyone who has believed in me along the way, thank you.  Hopefully I don't let you down.  I don't plan on letting myself down, and that is the best I can say at this very moment.

This is usually the point where I would continue with things in greater detail, but now it is time for me to face the music.  (As funny as that last sentence sounds in this particular forum, I did not plan that.)

There is nothing else I know to say at this point, other then I thank everyone who has been reading what I have to write.
