I'm REALLY Confused Now

I was typing in my blog about this news article I read about how scientists believe the climate change isn't Global Warming, but a part of Earth's natural cycle such as the Ice Age. Now I think that does sound logical and all but what about the research on the thinning Ozone? Maybe it's both, I don't know. Anyone know?

i dont know for sure but i have definitely heard that theory before. a pattern of global warming and ice ages that have been occurring for hundreds of millions of years. and i wouldnt doubt it either, it all adds up and explains why we have experienced things like this before on earth. we go through times of extreme heat and cold depending on the sun and other natural aspects

Check out the book, "Climate Confusion" by Ray Spencer. It deals with this very subject: whether or not global warming is a bunch of hype.

i think it might be a combination of both. Some scientists believe that it is the earth going through a 'warming phase' of its natural cycle. If you look back to the last known ice age some people believed that the earth went through a period of warming up before the ice age hit, the sudden cool down was sort of a couter-balance. But this isnt to say it is the only explination. Other people believe the amount of carbon dioxide and polutants we relase into the air have acted like a catalyst and just sped up the warming trend. but is this saying we're close to the next ice age? probably not. We probably have a longgg time before that happens, if it does. Even with this theory its still important to watch what we put into the environment because yes it is damaging the ozone as well. hope i helped.

Scientists aren't unanimous in their beliefs, but most credible ones believe the Earth is warming due to human factors. It could also be a combination of human factors and natural factors. There isn't any doubt that those huge holes in the ozone layer are our doing.

I think Americans and the world shouldn't look at our environment problems as always "global warming" but more just in general. Humans, with what they do on a daily basis, harm the environment very much and this cannot be disputed by scientists considering the amount of CO2 we put out and the pollution rising in many cities. Harming the only place humans can live is not good. Would you rather be a person that does not smoke and have less chance of lung cancer then someone who does? This is how the Earth is if it is treated more friendly it will be healither making their less of a chance for dramatic change in our world so that Earth can stay the same for generations to come. If it is not as healthy, than just like a person who smokes, it has more of a chance to create change and to not be as friendly to the human species. That is what people need to think about and why Americans have to take the lead in being environmentally friendly for ourselves, our kids, and every human being that will arrive in the only place humans have to live.
