McCain Country
Posted July 06, 2008 at 3:01 PM

Well this is a change. I recently relocated to Mountainous Flagstaff. Arizona from my hometown of Indianapolis, Indiana for the rest of the summer. I came here to train for my upcoming season of college cross country among other things. Supposedly my lungs will adjust to the high altitude here(8000 ft), so when I go back to sea-level at IU i'll have a one-up on everybody. But enough about running, lets get to the meat of the post. In Indiana I was a big Obama supporter; volunteering at every opportunity, registering voters 3 times a week etc. etc. Arizona(AKA McCain Country) is a lot different than Indianapolis, Indiana. Mostly conservative and such, the Obama Campaign probably did not see winning McCain's home state as a viable strategy, therefore not much is set up around here. But that doesn't matter. Whether you live in a "blue state" or a "red state" don't let yourself be discouraged to sound your voice. I know I won't. I'm setting up a voter registration table in the middle of one of the downtown squares, and I'll be working a couple times a week. This goes for McCain supporters who live in liberal land too(San Francisco). Canvass, Register, Let your voice be heard! Who knows how many ears you will reach and how far the message will trickle. I will update on the progress of my table. until next time. - Biz08
