Get the Word Out!
Posted April 10, 2008 at 9:50 AM

Amanda is an impassioned person; she is particularly invested in getting her peers to put their thought and energy toward making a difference in the world. Writing for The Circuit is a way to get her opinions on the issues out there, and she has many of them!

Amanda is particularly interested in the future of democracy. She’s concerned with domestic issues from our under funded education system to drug laws. On a global scale, Amanda is concerned with the conflicts in the Middle East, and the Iraq war.

Amanda believes writing for The Circuit is the best way to get her friends and peers active in a social cause and this is why she has chosen to be a journalist.

I love, love Amanda! I like her drive and motivation to get where she wants. I also love the fact that even though everyone is hating on her, she is still happy with her position and not letting anyone rain on her parade! You go Amanda!

Hey, Amanda, i just saw the first episode of the paper and i saw what everyone was saying to you. It was horrible. You deserve that job and you are an amazing person and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. You will be the best editor-in-chief yet whether they like it or not

Yeah, I don't know if you actually read this..or if someone from the production/site manager at the mtv studios does.

But I'm typing here in the hopes that you do pop in and actually read this....

I'm not deluded enough to try to be all informal  with you.

I personally would think it creepy to have poeple contact me after I show up on television and be like "OMFG CAN WE BE BEST FRANDS?!"

that being said....

I admire the way you handle yourself in that situation, although the episode seemed a little edited.

I also admire your drive to be who you want to be and what you are and you will always get it no matter what. :)

As a junior in high school, I guess I can relate to pretty much everything you guys are going through. (okay besides the whole being a part of an award winning newspaper)

I don't nearly have as much ambition as you guys but at the same time it kinda helps me out because I realize I can actually do something with my life. :) so thank you.

I am a break dancer and I want to prevent gang growth by teaching innercity youth to vent their emotions and anger at their current living situations into dance. like hip hop and krump and break dance, a much much healthier lifestyle then say getting shot up in gangs. same hardcore lifestyle, less violence.

Here's to showing people we can change the world.

One mind at a time.

You're going to be amazing at whatever you do :)

Peace.

So, I know this is both superficial and irrelevant, but I don't know how else to contact you to ask this...

Amanda: I LOVE your jewelry. Your style is one of the many things we have in common, and your necklaces and rings are awesome. I was wondering where you typically find them. I really hope you'll share with me, I don't live in an area with any good shops, so it's hard for me to find any cute "successories".

THANKS!

Hey, Amanda! I'm not sure if you actually read this...but I hope you do! I love the show, and I love how you keep up your spirit and don't get involved in the drama of others, and you don't let it kill your mood.

I wanted to tell you I have been in your shoes. I was one of the captains of my school dance team my junior year of HS. We were all the best of friends...until then. People were angry that I got the spot, the one person I considered my best friend stopped talking to me, and others followed. They would not listen to me, acted out, and treated me and the other captain horribly.

I learned a lesson though. I learned who my real friends were...and the other captain and I are still friends to this day, we are the best of friends...like sisters. I don't talk much to the other people who were on the team, except for the few who stood by my side also.

In the end, I regret not being captain my senior year...but I did have so much more fun not having the responsibilites of captain. And in a way I am glad I went through that experience.

Keep your head up and keep your true friends close...they are the only ones who matter! =]

Amanda, I want you to know that you are the only person on that show that I actually liked, besides your close friends.  Alex doesn't deserve to be your friend, and you probably have seen the episodes on t.v.  That means you probably know how much of a lying backstabber he is.  I had just lost one of my friends from Jealousy too, so I know how you feel.  I did nothing to her, but she still loves to hate me now.  Luckily, you caught on to his coniving actions before the show was over.  I wrote a message to Alex too, so don't worry, he has gotten his just deserts.  Thanks for being such a good example on television.  For Alex, well, I can't say the same...
