Cassia has a wide range of political and other interests, ranging from global warming to healthcare. However, she knows that not everyone her age is as socially conscious as herself.  To encourage others to get in on the action, she's written several articles on youth participation and awareness in The Circuit, as well as Letters to the Editors of numberous local publications on the same topic.

Cassia believes that the best way to motivate her friends and peers to join her in taking action on social issues is to speak from actual experience, and she is certainly not shy of it! Cassia has attended several local anti-war protests, and travelled to DC to join over 100,000 activists in a march to protest Congress' funding the war in Iraq.
