U fight 4 your life every single day

Going about your business

In tha most possible safe way

As you walk the line in the hot sun

U realize they have the power

2 tell you what you've become

U fear 4 your life; U can't make a noise

Cuz they raped your little girls

Stole your boy

They brainwash your boy in 2 what they do

Next thing you know

Your boy is pointin a gun at you

I wrote this poem thinkin about the movie,"Blood Diamond". In the midst of writing it I thought about what is happening in other countries of Africa other than the Sudan. I thought about Uganda and the whole "Invisible Children" situation, Sierra Leone with the diamond situation. There is a whole lot going on over there along with war: disease, poverty, displacement. I don't think i'm done with this poem, though.

Well. done my friend, a work in progress, it is very fitting for "Blood Diamond" and the African Nation in general, get out the word of hope and that we really do care and then we can begin to see change!

Peace and God Bless!
