Why are they only pushing respect for GLSEN and not for life in general. Every crime and every hate speech is an act of disrespect. Gays and lesbians are not the only ones that are having their rights disrespected. Society in general is far more disrespectful in all matters. If we can teach people the ideas of rights, respect, and responsibility then race, sex, sexual orientation, or whatever other ways people are identified would have no bearing on how they are treated. Schools need to change the three R's to the much more important ones.
