Seems like the figure for John Kerry spent on advertisement last election period was around 60 million, that's just him. Most of their money comes from corporations that will get something back when their candidate wins the election. Figure they rent tour busses, private jets, rent out buildings to hold their speeches at, plus have to pay their army of campaign supporters. Not to mention the tens of millions they pay for television commercials, keep in mind everytime you see the commercial they just had to spend money for it to be played. Far as ending genocide and finding cures I doubt their combined money would due all that much. Warren Buffet and William Gates just donated 60 billion combined and I haven't heard of any new diseases being cured. They use their money to campaign, I'm not in any position to say they shouldn't. They earned their money in some way or antoher so it's theirs to spend how they see fit.

how about all the money spent on the war and the money they found after they arrest Saddam? Where is all of that money? Why aren't we able to pay our veterans?
